The questions people ask before they book

Frequently asked questions

Booking and price

What does a detail cost?

Prices follow the vehicle's size and condition: a sedan that gets regular care books lighter than a three-row SUV that has carried kids all winter. Moe quotes every job before the visit, when you tell him about the car. The price you hear is the price, and booking costs nothing.

How do I book, and how fast can you come?

Pick a slot on the online calendar, or call or text (845) 470-3606. Calling is the fastest way to a same-week slot. The crew runs Sunday to Friday, 7 AM to 7 PM, and is closed Saturdays.

How far does Moe travel?

The van runs out of Monsey, NY and covers Rockland, Bergen and Orange counties. If your address sits at the edge of that map, call anyway: you will get a straight yes or no before anything is booked.

Can I give a detail as a gift?

Yes. A Moe's gift card covers any service at any address we serve and arrives by email with a note from you. Choose an amount on the homepage, or call and Moe will sort the card out directly.

On the day

Do I need to be home while the crew works?

No. Agree the plan with Moe when you book, leave the keys where you arranged, and come back to a finished car. One March review put it: "I wasn't even home and they managed to clean my grandmother's car to where it looked unrecognizable."

Where do the water and power come from?

The van. Water, power, steam and every product ride along, so nothing gets borrowed from your spigot, your outlets or your garage shelf. A bare parking spot is all the crew needs.

What happens if it rains on my appointment?

If you have a garage or a covered spot, the job goes ahead in it: the crew brings its own power and light. If there is no cover and the forecast turns, Moe calls before the visit and moves the slot, and rebooking costs nothing. Weather rarely stops the work: the crew details outdoors all year, including Februaries a reviewer described as freezing.

How long does a detail take?

Most jobs run under two hours, start to done. A first deep clean on a large or long-neglected vehicle takes longer, and Moe tells you the window when he quotes, so you know before the van rolls.

The work itself

Is machine polishing safe for my paint?

Yes. Paint correction takes swirls, light scratches and oxidation out of the clear coat instead of hiding them under wax, with pads and compounds matched to the paint in multiple stages. You inspect the result with the crew before they pack up, and anything that is not right gets fixed on the spot.

Can you get smells and stains out, even bad ones?

That is the job our reviews describe most. "Someone was sick in my car. Moe's team thoroughly cleaned the interior. Better than new!" reads one from May. The interior deep detail uses steam extraction, seat and carpet shampoo and vent-level odor removal, not an air freshener clipped over the problem.

What if something is not right afterwards?

Tell the crew at the walkaround and they fix it before they leave. Find it after they have gone, and they come back. No questions asked. That guarantee is standing behind a 5.0 rating across 210 Google reviews.

Do you handle boats, fleets and dealer lots?

Yes, on scheduled routes: work vans and company cars, dealer inventory, and boats on the trailer or in the slip. Commercial services covers how routes, pricing and certificates of insurance work.
